This old decorative technique from Murano that was invented and patented by Barovier&Toso, plus a series of elements with a modern geometric design and a technological metal structure. The Wang collection is made up of transparent glass elements that have been decorated using the white Rugiada® technique, which gives the translucent glass a texture similar to the highest-quality organza. The metal structure comes in white or painted in black bronze and contains dimmable LED light sources which are protected by a translucent white glass dome that scatters the light and prevents glare. The height of the suspended models is adjustable at installation time. LED's included.
Available as suspended and/or ceiling mount. (See Image 5)
The history of Barovier & Toso dates back to as far as 1295, and numerous museum collections include some of their finest glass work. As a member of the Barovier family dynasty, in 1450 Angelo Barovier invented Venetian crystal glass.
Their original tools are kept under a lock and key in the Barovier & Toso Museum in Venice, Italy. Each generation of master glass blowers at the factory hand down their craft to the next generation.
