Concrete and gold: a compound and a metal that are so different but, expertly combined, become a unique example of elegance and sophistication. A tapered crystal enclosed by gold flakes. The traditional method of glass blowing is the balotòn style for the smallest model and the rigà-menà style for the bigger model.
The history of Barovier & Toso dates back to as far as 1295, and numerous museum collections include some of their finest glass work. As a member of the Barovier family dynasty, in 1450 Angelo Barovier invented Venetian crystal glass.
Their original tools are kept under a lock and key in the Barovier & Toso Museum in Venice, Italy. Each generation of master glass blowers at the factory hand down their craft to the next generation.
