Borosilicate mounted pendant giving ambient light.
This type of glass was originally made for vials in chemical laboratories in England. All shapes start as a cylinder and crafted with wood, leather and metal utensils by hand. The technique is very labor intensive and exclusive to the artists.
Working in the parameters of design, sculpture and architecture, this team concentrates on hand manufactured products in their London based workshops. Finished metalwork with horsehair, enamel, ceramic and borosilicate glass are put together in an attention for detail and love for form and beauty, rarely seen today. Throughout the years they have received many accolades, including repeatedly awarded the prestigious Sotheby’s Contemporary Decorative Arts Award in London.
